The 3 steps

Putting a PeelAways sheet on a mattress like a regular fitted sheetOld dirty layer

Set it up once

Put PeelAways on like a regular fitted sheet, with the white label at the head or foot of the mattress. Each pack is one fitted sheet with 5 or 7 leakproof layers built in.

Peel away the mess

After an accident, grab the top layer at a corner (any corner works) and peel it back. A fresh, leakproof layer is already underneath.

Peel and dispose

Roll the used layer up with the mess inside and put it in the regular trash (never flush it). The whole change takes under a minute.

What's inside one pack of PeelAways (5 or 7 layers)

Every layer is leakproof, so a mess on top never reaches the mattress. When you peel the top layer away, the next one is clean and already fitted.

The last layer is also the base of the sheet. Its elastic edges wrap under the mattress like a regular fitted sheet, so the whole stack stays put through the night.

Good to know

  • How long a layer lasts: peel a layer whenever it gets soiled. If it stays clean, change it every 7 to 10 days.
  • Hospital beds: Twin XL fits standard home hospital beds (80" x 39", up to 9" deep). Not sure of your size? Use the size finder.
  • How it feels: the top layer is a soft, quiet bamboo rayon blend, so it feels like a regular sheet, not plastic.

How-to FAQs

Can I change the sheet without getting my loved one out of bed?

Yes. Roll them gently onto one side and peel the top layer back toward them. Roll them back over and pull the rest off. The next layer is already on the bed, so you don't have to lift anyone or tuck in corners.

Which corner do I start peeling from?

Any corner works. Grab the top layer at whichever corner is easiest to reach and peel it back.

Which way does the sheet go on?

Put it on like a regular fitted sheet, with the white label at the head or foot of the mattress.

How often should I change a layer?

Peel a layer whenever it gets soiled. If it stays clean, change it every 7 to 10 days.

How do I throw away a used layer?

Roll it up with the mess inside and put it in the regular trash. Never flush it.

What happens when I get to the last layer?

The last layer is also the fitted base, with elastic edges that wrap under the mattress. When it's soiled, take the whole sheet off and put on a new pack, the same way you set up the first one.

How long does one pack last?

It depends on how often accidents happen. Each pack has 5 or 7 layers. With accidents most nights, a 5-layer pack lasts about 5 nights, which is why most caregivers go with a subscription or a 3-pack or 6-pack.

Do I need pads or briefs with PeelAways?

No, PeelAways work either way. Every layer is leakproof by itself. If you already use pads or briefs, PeelAways are the backup for the nights one leaks.

Will PeelAways fit a hospital bed?

Yes. Most home hospital beds take a Twin XL mattress, and our Twin XL fits mattresses up to 80" x 39" and 9" deep. Not sure which size you need? Use the size finder.

Will it feel like sleeping on plastic?

No. The top layer is a soft, quiet, breathable bamboo rayon blend, so it feels like a regular sheet and doesn't crinkle.
